Faolan Color Type One

I ruin things when I color them, don't I x.x oh well. Tried coloring style number one: Color Buildup ([link])
It was supposed to look organic, but this just looks dull x.x
Tired. Next time, it's Cell Shading! Or maybe just soft shading x.x Depends on my mood
